Grimm and Anderson Fairytales Contest 28 Days Left

There are only 28 days left! I hope to see something from all of you! I have also decided to extend it by a few days. It now ends on the 21st of June. Good Luck all!

THERE ARE NOW THREE ENTRIES! (Check below just before the questions and answers. ;D) I'm so happy and excited to see what else comes in!

In an attempt to brighten my birthday (around a few weeks.) and because someone asked me to, I'm going to start another contest.

I am using my top three pairings for my three favorite fandoms, mix them up with fairy-tales from Grimm or Anderson and you have my contest. The name of this contest is Grimm and Anderson Fairytales Contest. And I'll soon explain why.

There is a possible of 21 prize rankings Plus the grand prize set. That's a lot of prizes! And a high chance of you winning one or more prizes. And there will be no limit to the number of entries or prizes you can win.



CONTEST:
Okay here's the deal, You make an artwork (artwork includes drawings, pictures of things you made and cosplay photos.) or story using one (or more) of the following 'shipping' and I will judge them (along with anyone who volunteer's to be a judge). The DEADLINE is June 21 2010. The Couples WINNER(S) will be announced in a journal anytime from the end of the contest to the 30th of June at the latest. Then the WINNER(S) will be able to request their award(s).

RULES:
The drawing or story must feature one of the above couples as sweethearts or friends. The couple MUST be in a fairytale of either Grimm or Anderson. If you write a story it can be a short story or a chapter story but it must be completed by the 20th of June. There must be at least two people in the picture or story, that does not mean that the couple has to be the only people in the art (pictures and stories from this point on will be referred to as 'art' ). They must be fully clothed, they can not be in an overly sexual position, you can not swear (nor can they). If the characters you are drawing/writing are sweethearts but are kids in the show/anime/manga they must be adults. If they are just friends and children then they may still (or be turned into) children. You will be disqualified if you don't follow the rules.

Prizes:
Will be given as soon as possible(but it may take some time). If I get one or more entry in every couple then I will have a winner for every couple. If not then I will have a winner for all couples that have an entry. If there are two or more entries in one couple then that couple will have a 1st prize, 2nd prize (there will be no 3rd prize unless someone volunteers to give it.). That's 18 POSSIBLE WINNERS not including the grand prize set. 9 1st prizes, and 9 2nd prizes, plus the grand prize.  All entries will be put on this or another journal and receive a comment from myself as well.



1ST PRIZE in every couple: 2 linearts with couples by me or one with up to 5 people. (see rules for winning requests below)
2ND PRIZE in every couple: 1 lineart with couples by me or one with three people. (see rules for winning requests below)

Every couple who gets then 3 or more entries will get a celebratory picture drawn by me and dedicated to the other participants. This way all participants will get a prize.

GRAND PRIZE SET:
After all the couples have been judged and awarded their prize ranking there will be a grand prize set, 3rd, 2nd and Grand Prize(1st place). This grand prize goes to the best overall art. Whoever wins this will get in addition to their prize ranking prize(s)

Rules for winning requests:
(These rules only apply to my prizes and any donaters who wish to use the same, most likely have their own rules or none.) The artwork/story you request must be one of the couples above, but it doesn't have to be the one you did, or you can suggest someone but I must approve it, if not I will ask for something else.  No sexual or crude things will be considered and you will be denied your prize for suggesting it. If you want a scene from a story the entire story must not be rated over pg-13 or have sexual scenes. If you swear then you will be denied your prize. PS. If you want your prize in a certain style send a link to a picture of the style and I will do my best, the style can be one of mine or another artists, the picture must be here on deviantART and you may have to receive permission from the artist. How do I enter? Comment and/or note with a link. A comment allows everyone who looks at the contest to see your art as soon as you comment and a note sends it directly to me, I'll see it either way.

How many times can I enter? As many times as you wish. There is no limit to the number of times you can enter or the prizes you can win. You can enter as many or as few different couples as you wish.

Can I and someone else get together and make something? Yes, but you must agree on a prize if you win 2nd or 3rd place or split the prize(s).

Can it be an artwork/story I drew/wrote before this contest? Yes, but it can't have been uploaded onto the internet before now.

I want to donate a prize or prizes, is that okay? Of course. Let me know what the prize you want to add and to what ranking(s) and couple(s)you want this prize attached to.

If I donate a prize can I still enter the contest? Yes. You might even be the one to win your own prize.

I Want to donate a prize but my rules are different or I don't really have any, can I still donate? Yes. My rules for the prizes only apply to the prizes I'm offering, but if you want to follow them too you can. You can add or subtract any or all of them for your prizegiving.

I want to be a judge is that okay? Yes, but I will only be accepting the first 5 people to ask. These 5 judges will need to contact me with their favorite 3 in each couple within a week of the ending of the contest(What they would consider 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each couple). I too will be judging. If there is a tie I will ask my mother to cast a tie breaking vote. The grand prize set will be decided by popular vote after the end of the contest.

If I am a judge can I donate a prize? Yes, Anyone can donate a prize.

If I am a judge can I still enter the contest? Yes. In this contest you may be both entrant and judge. Remember only the first five people will be accepted as judges.

I want to participate but I have no clue what to do can you help me? Yes. But all I can do is suggest a few stories and let you decide. Cation: I may suggest something that will require a lot of imagination on your part.

Can my prize be a gift for someone else? Of course.

Do I have to claim my prize right away? No, not from me anyway, but you should do so before a month is out.

When does the contest begin? Now.

When does the contest end? The June 21, 2010.

How many winners can there be? 21 possible winners plus the grand prize set of 3. That's a high likelihood of everyone getting a prize of their very own. And one person can win them all, I'm not going to limit the amount of prizes you can receive.

When will the judging be over? The 28th of June at the latest.

When will the winners be announced? As soon as I possibly can. You will be notified if you win anything.

Will you contact me if I win a prize? I will note you.

Do I have to be a member of deviantART? Yes. Or you must know someone who will let you use their account. Your entry must be on deviantART.

Can I put my entry on other sites too? By all means. That will help spread the word about this contest. Shameless hint!

I'm an artist, does my picture have to be colored? No.

Can I use any medium I want? Yes. It can be a drawing in pencil, ink, paint, computer or any other medium you can think of. It can also be a picture of you 'cosplaying' or of a statue, necklace, ect.
