Okay In my last journal entry I said that I wanted to do another contest.Well this time I'm going to take it bigger.

I'm going to do a Christmas contest using my some of my favorite show's Characters in couples. Christmas: Avatar, Inuyasha and From Far Away Contest is the name of this contest.

CONTEST: Okay here's the deal, You make an artwork or story using one (or more) of the following 'shipping' and I will judge them (along with anyone who volunteer's to be a judge). The DEADLINE is DECEMBER 25 2009. The WINNER(S) will be announced in a journal anytime from a week to the 1st day of 2010 (maybe a day or two later). Then the WINNER(S) will be able to request their award(s).

You may use your artistic talent on any of the above couples as sweethearts or as friends.



RULES: The drawing or story must feature one of the above couples as sweethearts or friends. The couple MUST be at a party (does not have to be a Christmas or winter party), OR doing something that one might do during winter, OR playing a game. There must be at least two people in the picture or story, that does not mean that the couple has to be the only people in the art (pictures and stories from this point on will be referred to as 'art'. They must be fully clothed, they can not be in an overly sexual position, you can not swear (nor can they). If the characters you are drawing/writing are sweethearts but are kids in the show/anime/manga they must be adults. If they are just friends and children then they may still (or be turned into) children. You will be disqualified if you don't follow the rules.


Prizes: Will be given as soon as possible(but it may take some time). If I get one or more entry in every couple then I will have a winner for every couple. If not then I will have a winner for all couples that have an entry. If there are two or more entries in one couple then that couple will have a 1st prize, 2nd prize and (if needed) 3rd prize.

1ST PRIZE: 2 artworks with couples by me. (see rules for winning requests below)
2ND PRIZE: 1 artwork with couples by me.
3RD PRIZE: 1 artwork with one person by me.

Every couple who gets more then 3 entries will get a celebratory picture drawn by me and dedicated to the other participants. This way all participants will get a prize.


Rules for winning requests: (These rules only apply to my prizes and any donaters who wish to use the same) The artwork you request must be one of the couples above, but it doesn't have to be the one you did, or you can suggest someone but I must approve it, if not I will ask for something else. (FOR 3RD PLACE WINNERS: The person must be one of the above or you can suggest someone but I must approve it, if not I will ask for something else.) No sexual or crude things will be considered and you will be denied your prize for suggesting it. If you want a scene from a story the entire story must not be rated over pg-13 or have sexual scenes. If you swear then you will be denied your prize. PS. If you want your prize in a certain style send a link to a picture of the style and I will do my best, the style can be one of mine or another artists, the picture must be here on deviantART and you may have to receive permission from the artist. Q&A:

How many times can I enter? You may enter once in art and once in story for each couple but you can only claim one prize ranking per couple. You can enter as many or as few different couples as you wish.

Can I and someone else get together and make something? Yes, but you must agree on a prize if you win 2nd or 3rd place.

Can it be an artwork/story I drew/wrote before this contest? Yes, but it can't have been uploaded onto the internet before now.

I want to donate a prize or prizes, is that okay? Of course. Let me know what the prize you want to add and to what ranking(s) and couple(s)you want this prize attached to.

If I donate a prize can I still enter the contest? Yes. You might even be the one to win your own prize.

I Want to donate a prize but my rules are different or I don't really have any, can I still donate? Yes. My rules for the prize only apply to the prizes I'm offering, but if you want to follow them too you can. you can add or subtract any or all of them for your prizegiving.

I want to be a judge is that okay? Yes, but I will only be accepting the first 5 people to ask. These 5 judges will need to contact me with their favorite 3 in each couple within a week of the ending of the contest. I too will be judging. If there is a tie I will ask my mother to cast a tie breaking vote.

If I am a judge can I donate a prize? Yes, Anyone can donate a prize.

If I am a judge can I still enter the contest? No. That will not be permitted. You may do one or the other.

Can I judge just one show or couple and enter in another? I am sorry but to limit confusion the answer is no. You must be able to judge all.

I want to participate but I have no clue what to do can you help me? No. I can't, it wouldn't be fair. And none of the judges may either. But I have no problem with you asking anyone else for help.

Can my prize be a gift for someone else? Of course. The prize still has to follow my rules.

Do I have to claim my prize right away? No, not from me anyway, but you should do so before a month is out.

When does the contest begin? Now.

When does the contest end? The 25 of December.

When will the judging be over? The 1st of January.

When will the winners be announced? As soon as I possibly can. The first of January if possible.

Will you contact me if I win a prize? I will note you.

Do I have to be a member of deviantART? Yes. Or you must know someone who will let you use their account. Your entry must be on deviantART.

Can I put my entry on other sites too? By all means. That will help spread the word about this contest.

I'm an artist, does my picture have to be colored? No.

Can I use any medium I want? Yes. It can be a drawing in pencil, ink, paint, computer or any other medium you can think of.
